Wendy Williams's Halloween episode was scarier than she anticipated.

"The Wendy Williams Show" host dressed as the Statue of Liberty for Halloween but passed out while introducing the show's costume contest Tuesday morning. As she was talking, Williams's voice cracked and eyes widened as she stumbled and fell down. The show then cut to commercial break, EW notes.

When the show returned, Williams was seen standing up, looking well, explaining she passed out because she was overheated from her costume.

"That was not a stunt," she said. "I overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But, you know what? I'm a champ and I'm back!"

A spokesperson for Williams gave a statement to EW about the incident.

"Ms. Williams fainted on-air this morning. She is dehydrated and is on her way home for a good day and nite of sleep. She has been examined by medical professionals and is well. She is ok and will continue as shows as planned. She will address this on-air tomorrow," Ronn Torossian said. "She has never missed a day of work and is looking forward on November 13th to her 1500th show."
