Watch: Can't Tell Disney Gays from Nickelodeon Gays? Miley Cyrus has Pointers

If the difference between Disney gays and their Nickelodeon peers isn't clear, don't worry: Miley Cyrus knows what to look for, and she shared it all with Jimmy Kimmel.
The impromptu lesson in LGTBQ+ culture came about during the May 22 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Billboard detailed.
Kimmel accidentally broached the topic when he "asked the superstar about the last time she'd watched an episode of her iconic Disney Channel series 'Hannah Montana,' which ran for four seasons from 2006 to 2011," the music magazine relayed.
"I'm surrounded by gays," Cyrus, a longtime ally of the LGBTQ+ community who has identified in the past as gender fluid, told Kimmel in reply, Billboard detailed. She then clued Kimmel in that "there's Nickelodeon gays and Disney gays."
The "Party in the U.S.A." singer went on to explain that "Nickelodeon gays and Nickelodeon, no offense, but in general, they do like boogers and, you know, bro jokes.
"And Disney, I would like to think, is a little bit more fabulous," Cyrus went on to add, "especially if it's about a teenage pop star wearing a wig, like being the most famous drag queen for kids ever."
In the iconic series, Cyrus' character performs as a pop singer under an assumed name and disguises herself with a wig while also living the life of a typical teen when not on stage.
Cyrus went on to say that among her gay friends are some who didn't know about the show until she took pains to ointroduce them to it, Billboard relayed.
"I'm like, 'You're gay and you don't live for Hannah Montana?'" Cyrus relaged Kimmel. "'What's wrong with you?'"
The solution was simple: "I introduced them to Hannah, and obviously they were gagged."
The distinction between Disney and Nickelodeon gays may not be as obvious as that between Los Angeles and Las Vegas gays (as explained on a recent episode of "Hacks" when Deborah [Jean Smart] and her personal assistant, Damien [Mark Indelicato] had an impromptu night on the town), but it's important knowledge all the same.
