Give a welcome holler to Casa Oliver!

Palm Springs' newest frisky al fresco men's getaway is a dramatically upgraded reinvention of a sprawling two-acre property at the base of the San Jacinto mountains, formerly home to All Worlds Resort.

While Palm Springs is one of the world's most popular gay destinations, with an abundance of men-only options, recent years have seen several clothing-optional properties sold and transformed into mainstream resorts. When All Worlds was listed for sale last year, many assumed it would go the same way.

But the proud new owners have not only committed to keeping the resort a gay oasis, but are making major investments to provide an elevated guest experience at Casa Oliver, one of the newest members of the boutique Palm Springs Preferred Small Hotels collection.

Stardust Hotel

As of this winter, guests have been delighted to discover handsomely redecorated king rooms; lush new Mediterranean landscaping; a cozy firepit area; and a bright, refreshed overall ambiance. In the months ahead, a European-styled café will open on the property, serving the Palm Springs community as well as hotel guests.

Guests and locals have also embraced Casa Oliver's day and night pass program, which provides access to the swimming pool, hot tub, and sun decks, helping make the resort a lively social center.

A thorough renovation and refresh of the property's famous indoor-outdoor maze complex, complete with playrooms and a video lounge, offers further fun for adventurous visitors.

Be sure to include a Sunday in your stay, because Casa Oliver's weekly SunDay FunDay event brings all the boys to the yard with a poolside lunch garnished with go-go dancers!

The Cactai

Fancy Something New, but Not Nude?

The past year has seen a bumper crop of Palm Springs Preferred Small Hotels openings. Among the posh new lodgings rolling out the pink carpet for LGBTQ+ travelers are the intimate nine-room Stardust, which specializes in group stays, with gourmet chefs, yoga instructors, and masseurs on call and ready to pamper your posse.

The Cactai has a classic Palm Springs mid-century modern vibe. A charmingly renovated property that dates back to the 1940s, it features kitchens or kitchenettes in every room and suites with private patios.

Terra Palm Springs offers spa-centric stays with amenities including a Himalayan salt sauna, cold plunge, and rain room. There are even bedside devices in every room offering guided meditations, soundscapes, and breathwork exercises.

El Noa Noa is focused on five-star romance. It's an eight-room couples-only property, with an emphasis on serenity. Spa services are available, and the largest suite includes its own patio and hot tub.

El Noa Noa

Or Perhaps You'd Prefer A Bare-Ass Classic?

If you can't imagine a stay in Palm Springs without getting some sun on your buns, there are plenty of choices, some of which been serving the gay community for well over a three decades, drawing loyal customers from America and around the world. (Yes, you may have an opportunity to be a true patriot and improve the state of international relations.)

You'll find friendly hosts ready to provide tips on daytime activities and local nightlife, though you may have trouble getting yourself to step away from the poolside charms of The Triangle Inn Palm Springs, INNdulge Palm Springs, El Mirasol Villas, Desert Paradise, Vista Grande or Canyon Club.

Likewise, there's no need for guests to leave the pool deck (or even get dressed!) from early morning to sundown at the Hacienda at Warm Sands, Twin Palms, Santiago, and Descanso resorts, which all serve their guests both breakfast and lunch on the house.
