READ TIME: 1 MIN.

It was reported last week that two "Drag Race" franchise stars – Morphine Love Dion of "RuPaul's Drag Race" Season 16, and Kaos of "Canada's Drag Race" Season 3 – were among six people hurt in a July 21 crash in California. The incident happened following DragCon LA.

Now Morphine is speaking out since the accident, updating fans on her condition and thanking them for their support during this hard time.

"First and foremost I want thank everyone for all the love and positive messages I have been receiving. As many of you know, last weekend I was in a serious car accident suffering a fractured collarbone. I also broke my jaw in half for which I needed surgery to repair and lead to the loss of several teeth. I'm still a bit sad and traumatized but extremely grateful and happy to be alive," Morphine wrote. "I am back in Miami focusing on my recovery. I will continue to post updates periodically and ask for your patience and understanding during this difficult time."

She gave a special shoutout to World of Wonder as well as MTV and Paramount – along with her manager and friends who have been helping her get better.

Uber responded to the tragedy, releasing a statement in which the company said, "Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this gut-wrenching crash. We are working to get in touch with the driver and riders to check on their well-being."
