Spread the Word! Project: Project is Producing 'Shiver'

EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.

"The Shiver Project" explores ideas of fear and anxiety, through the lens of a bizarre Grimm Brothers' fairy tale, as well as real world pressures that cause these emotions. The scary thing is: It won't exist without your help!

The ensemble theatre company Project: Project has spent the better part of the year writing, creating, and generating new material with three new members of their team: Alli Engelsma-Mosser, Nina Louise Morrison, and Cecelia Raker. The results of which are about to be presented in "The Shiver Project" this February!

However, before this show goes up they need you to take a look at their current IndieGogo campaign. Their goal is more ambitious than it has ever been, but so is this project. The production will feature a larger cast, a bigger venue, and a longer performance run.

Producing ensemble-created, original stories that combine scripted material with improvisation, Project:Project's last venture was "How May I Connect You? (Or, Scenes in the Key of D:)" an examination of people's love affair with their technology.

Preferring to create new work rather than interpret plays that have already been published, they experiment with form, storytelling, and the role of the audience.

Their Goal is $5,638 to pay artists (designers and actors), space rental and building materials. It will be at Arts at the Armory in Somerville, and it will open in late February, 2015.

In return for your generous support, they are offering some of the most tangible benefits they've ever offered -- signed copies of scripts, original three line plays and shadow puppets customized just for you!

This fundraiser is only going until November 11 (their 3rd birthday by the way) so there's no time to lose!
