Rodeo draws a crowd in Sonoma County

The Best Buck in the Bay Rodeo and Festival took place last weekend at the Russian River Rodeo Grounds in Duncans Mills in Sonoma County. David Lawson, center right, a ranch manager at David Lawson Performance Training horse ranch, wrestled a steer as part of the competition September 13. Best Buck in the Bay is organized under the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association, which in turn is governed by the International Gay Rodeo Association. Events included steer decorating, calf roping on foot, team roping, and a wild drag race.
