Openly lesbian comic Rosie O'Donnell is hardly reticent when it comes to critiquing the president. Even so, her latest broadside was enough to turn heads.

Hollywood Life reports that O'Donnell was a guest on gay writer and cultural commentator Michelangelo Signorile's radio show when they began discussing how Trump's grown daughter Ivanka, 37, trailed along with her dad to the G20 summit.

O'Donnell jumped on Signorile wondering aloud about that, declaring, "There's a creepy incest feel that is very prevalent amongst Donald Trump and his children, at least his daughter. Very creepy."

Such reservations about Trump pere and his daughter are not new, and surfaced a decace before the 2016 presidential campaign, when Trump remarked on "The View" in 2006 that he might "be dating" Ivanka if he were not her father.

In 2016, with Trump on the campaign trail, CNN reported on how Trump's comments about Ivanks tended to stray into "cringe worthy" territory, as when Trump engaged in a discussion on air with Howard Stern about Ivanka being "voluptuous" and "a piece of ass."

The CNN report also included a clip from talk program "The Wendy Williams Show," in which Trump and Ivanka appeared together and the host asked what "favorite thing" the two of them had in common. Ivanka said "either real estate or golf," but Trump replied with, "well, I was gong to say sex..."

CNN noted that Ivanka stood up for her father, saying he was "not sexist."

Signorile theorized that Republicans would like to see Ivanka become the first woman to attain the presidency. Noting that Trump was accompanied at "every meeting" by his daughter, Signorile invited the comedian to "talk a little bit about Ivanka Trump and what Donald Trump is doing with her."

That turn of phrase was all that O'Donnell needed.

"I don't know what he's doing with her," she responded. "I think he's been doing bad things with her for a very long time."

O'Donnell went on to assert that "there's a creepy incest feel that is very prevalent" between Trump and Ivanka. "Very creepy," O'Donnell said.

The comedian went on to dismiss Ivanka, calling her "talentless, non-intelligent," and "non-powerful," and added that she found it "laughable" to think of Ivanka Trump "in any kind of public service role" — the sort of role that, O'Donnell added, "no one in his family" had experience in prior to Trump becoming president. "Why should they start now?" O'Donnell wondered.

That fusillade came hard on the heels of an appearance on CNN in which O'Donnell lambasted Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for not pursuing impeachment proceedings against Trump, saying that Pelosi's strategy "is not how you deal with Trump.... You don't let him go and give him a long lead. You confront him at his own level."

O'Donnell added that she though Pelosi was "making a future mistake" by not seeking to initiate impeachment proceedings against the president.
